How to set up Nomad IPTV on Mac

On a Mac, VLC opens your M3U playlist in a few clicks; for a full channel guide, choose an IPTV player from the Mac App Store instead.

What you need

  • A Mac with a recent version of macOS
  • A stable internet connection
  • Your Nomad IPTV login details from support

Compatible player options

  • VLC media playerFree, from videolan.org.
  • IINAFree macOS player from iina.io; can open network streams (playlist support varies).
  • Mac App Store IPTV playersChoose one that supports Xtream Codes or M3U playlists.

Download VLC only from videolan.org and IINA only from iina.io, or install players from the Mac App Store.

Step-by-step installation

  1. 1

    Install VLC

Download VLC from videolan.org and move it to your Applications folder.

  2. 2

    Open network

Launch VLC and choose File → Open Network (⌘ + N).

  3. 3

    Paste your M3U URL

Paste the M3U URL from support and select Open.

  4. 4

    Use the playlist

    Open Window → Playlist (⌘ + Shift + P) to browse channels.

Where to enter your Nomad IPTV details

After your trial or order is processed, support sends your login details. Depending on the player, you will use either an Xtream Codes–style login (server URL, username and password) or a single M3U playlist URL. Enter them exactly as sent — they are case-sensitive, and an extra space at the end is a common cause of login errors.

Recommended settings

  • If macOS warns about an app, only allow apps from the App Store or identified developers you trust.

Troubleshooting

Video buffers or freezes
Use a wired Ethernet connection or a strong 5 GHz Wi-Fi signal, restart your router and device, and close other heavy downloads. HD streams generally need a stable 10–25 Mbps; 4K needs more. If buffering continues on several channels, contact support with the channel name and time.
Login failed or “invalid credentials”
Re-enter the server URL, username and password exactly as sent (including http:// and any port number). Check that your trial or subscription period has not ended and that you have not exceeded your number of connections.
Player apps named here are third-party examples. Nomad IPTV is not affiliated with their developers and does not distribute them. Menu names can differ slightly between app and device versions.
