How to set up Nomad IPTV on LG Smart TV
What you need
- An LG Smart TV with webOS connected to the internet
- An LG account (needed by some apps)
- Your Nomad IPTV login details from support
Compatible player options
- IBO PlayerAvailable on many webOS models; playlist is added on the developer's official website.
- IPTV SmartersAvailable on some webOS versions and regions.
- SS IPTV and other webOS playersSome use a device ID and an official web portal for playlist upload.
Install players only from the LG Content Store / Apps on your TV.
Step-by-step installation
- 1
Open the LG Content Store
Press Home on the remote and open LG Content Store (or Apps).
- 2
Search for a player
Use search to find an IPTV player that supports M3U or Xtream Codes logins.
- 3
Install and launch
Select Install, then Launch.
- 4
Enter your details
Add your playlist using the server URL, username and password, or the M3U URL. If the app shows a device ID, follow its official instructions or send the ID to support.
- 5
Restart the app
Exit and reopen the app to load your channels and TV guide.
Where to enter your Nomad IPTV details
After your trial or order is processed, support sends your login details. Depending on the player, you will use either an Xtream Codes–style login (server URL, username and password) or a single M3U playlist URL. Enter them exactly as sent — they are case-sensitive, and an extra space at the end is a common cause of login errors.
Recommended settings
- Check for webOS updates in Settings → General → About This TV.
- Use Ethernet where possible for more consistent streaming.
Troubleshooting
- Video buffers or freezes
- Use a wired Ethernet connection or a strong 5 GHz Wi-Fi signal, restart your router and device, and close other heavy downloads. HD streams generally need a stable 10–25 Mbps; 4K needs more. If buffering continues on several channels, contact support with the channel name and time.
- Login failed or “invalid credentials”
- Re-enter the server URL, username and password exactly as sent (including http:// and any port number). Check that your trial or subscription period has not ended and that you have not exceeded your number of connections.
- The app closes when loading channels
- Large playlists can strain older TVs. Ask support whether a smaller category selection is possible, or use an external streaming device.
